DESCRIPTION
Knee electrode is a special accessory for physiotherapeutic procedures aimed at treating chronic diseases of the lower extremities and prevention of diseases related to the knee joint, as well as recovery from injuries. The accessory significantly expands the possibilities of exposure to pulse electrotherapy devices, allows the most effective therapeutic effect on the problem area. The knee brace can be connected to NEURODENS / DENAS-PCM devices.
It is recommended for people whose occupation is connected with prolonged stay on the feet, as well as for athletes.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Arthritis and arthrosis of the knee joint.
Deforming osteoarthritis (gonarthrosis).
Condition after operations on the knee joint and prolonged immobilization.
Post-stroke arthropathy.
Pain, stiffness of movement, swelling of the knee provoked by gouty, psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis.
Stretches or tears of ligaments, menisci of the joint, fractures and other types of mechanical damage.
Other chronic diseases of the lower extremities.
PRINCIPLE OF WORK
Knee electrode is part of the range of accessories for pulse electrotherapy devices and have a therapeutic effect on the patient’s body by electromyostimulation – the use of electric current pulses to stimulate muscles and nerves.
Under the action of the stimulating impulse there is a contraction of smooth muscles in the vessel wall. This increases blood supply to the area, activates cellular respiration and metabolism.
